Business Plan Competition

OKTA’s New President, Charles Choe, & his Cabinet are planning to perform many new practical projects for OKTA Jr. members. This Business Plan Competition is one of many big projects.

The winner, or winning team, will receive seed money along with various benefits from OKTA senior members for the set up of their new business.

We call it the “SucSeed Fund”

This competition is intended to simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms. The quality of the idea, the strength of the management team, and the clarity and persuasiveness of the written plan and oral presentation, all influence the judges’ decisions.  Ultimately, the winning team should be the team in which the judges would most likely invest their money.

We will announce the detailed schedule & rules at our upcoming BBQ event on Saturday October 25, 2008.
