Ricky Choi

Ricky Choi is the Executive Account Manager of Property and Casualty Division at CAL-KOR INSURANCE SERVICES, INC. He is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance and very knowledgeable in his field. He specializes in Ocean Marine & Inland Marine Insurance, which consist of the most trade related insurance. He first started off as an underwriter and became an expert on analyzing different coverage’s that would best suit the consumers’ needs. Being recognized as an underwriter, he decided to seek other opportunities in the same field.
He is very organized and proactive in training staff members. Also, he is very motivated, excited, and involved in training future leaders. He is the author of “Think Big, Make it Huge!” which is a manual for insurance sales representatives at his company. He recently produced “Vision 2009 CAL-KOR”, which exist of innovative ways to grow and to excel from its peers. He is always striving to become better and find better ways to improve work ethics, procedures, and how to increase revenue.
Ricky studied Law in Korea. He served 3 years in the Korean Air-Force.
Ricky graduated and joined OKTA Trade School in 2007. In 2008, Ricky was elected Sr. Vice President of Jr. OKTA S.C. During his time as a Sr. Vice President of Jr. OKTA S.C. along with Charles Choe, President of Jr. OKTA S.C. would like to take on a different approach to make Jr. members accomplish their goals.
He and his wife Tina have been happily married over four years. Tina is currently working at a bank and is a licensed ACAMs member (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) in BSA Department.
Steven Oh

Steven Oh is a partner in an independent production company, All In Productions. He specializes in cinematography with a background in photography and the visual arts. He graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a bachelor’s in International Relations and a minor in Cinema Production. Having joined OKTA SC in the 2nd Annual Workshop back in 2005 as a participant, he has continued to be an active member of the staff in OKTA JR and is now Director of the Audio/Visual (A/V) Department.
Yale Ann

Yale Ann is a partner in a startup company import and exporting cars. A graduate of California Polytechnic University of Pomona graduated with a bachelors of science in business administration human resources with a minor in entrepreneurship. He joined OKTA SC in 2004 as a participant/ staff member and has held various positions and active member since.
Ho-Jeong Eun

Ho-Jeong Eun is currently employed by City of Los Angeles Police Department as a Management Analyst, for the new Olympic Area Police Station ‘Transition Team.’ The ‘Transition Team’ is tasked with opening the new police station, located in the Koreatown area of City of Los Angeles. Prior to his current assignment, Ho-Jeong worked as a Crime Analysis Detail supervisor. He develops crime statistics and advises LAPD management concerning deployment of resources to assist in reducing crime activities in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles. In the past, Ho-Jeong has worked as a tax compliance officer dealing with the regulatory aspects of the Los Angeles Municipal Code.
Ho-Jeong serves the community as a vice-chair commissioner for the Los Angeles County Consumer Affairs Advisory Commission and as an Ambassador for State Assemblyman Bob Huff, working as a liaison between the offices of elected officials and the community.
Ho-Jeong is active in professional and community organizations, including KARA (Korean American Republican Association) where he serves as a vice president and KAGEA (Korean American Government Employees Association) as a president. Ho-Jeong is an inaugural fellow of NetKAL (Network of Korean American Leaders) fellows program. Ho-Jeong writes a monthly column for a weekly Korean news magazine called “Koreana News,” which articulates his perspective on many of the Korean-American community’s emerging social and political issues.
Ho-Jeong is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Biology and University of Kent in United Kingdom with M.S. in Management Science. He and his wife Hunhwa have been married over five years. He is a proud dad of a baby girl, Irene.
Brian Baek

Brian Sungwoo Baek is the owner of Portal 2US, LLC. an Import / Export Company of Automobiles and Parts, specializing in new and used Mercedes, BMWs and other Premium vehicles.
Though he majored in Biology at University of California, Irvine and tranferred to Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea where he majored in Medicine; he realized his calling not in medicine but in becoming a leader in Import/ Export. While in South Korea, he was first introduced to the industry of International Trade while translating and assisting in presentation on behalf of LG to the Korean Government of X-ray machines from Brazil.
He came back to US and became a graduate of the first class of OKTA Southern California Trade Workshop back in 2004 and was the president of OKTA Jr. from 2007 to 2008.
After graduating the Trade workshop, he was introduced to the network of business leaders of OKTA S.C. from which he was given the opportunity to learn Logistics and Customs through OKTA S.C. member, KCC Transport; Sales and Buyer Target Marketing through an electronic company, Ahanix; and Product Sourcing and Marketing through our Sponsor, KOTRA; with these collective background he was able to establish his company, Portal 2 US, LLC. in 2008.
He currently exports new and used automobiles and automobile parts mainly to Asia, but is always broadening his local sourcing to become not only a more more established exporter, but with his background in international sourcing and local and target marketing, also strives to becom an Importer of goods to distribute within United States.
James Han

James J. Han is a thriving information technology entrepreneur with a business philosophy founded on win-win relationships. A UCLA graduate in Psychobiology specialized in Computing, he was published in the Journal of Neuroscience for his contribution in electrophysicological study of suprachiasmatic nucleus in mammalian brain. Throughout his academic career, he fostered strong leadership skills and was elected Vice President of prominent international business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, and co-founder and chartering president of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a nationally recognized pre-medical honor society at UCLA today. He later completed a Management Development for Entrepreneurs program at UCLA Anderson School of Business in 2008 and spearheaded the internet marketing campaign for Pepperdine University, Graduate School of Psychology and Education. James Han is a strong believer and promoter of synergistic teamwork and life-long relationships. In addition to running his IT business, he is involved in Christian missions through information technology -the FMnC (Frontier Missions and Computers) – and teaches internet marketing and emerging online markets to business owners. His distinctive approach in combining business with technology has recently attracted media attention, featuring him on Korean American television, radio and newspapers, such as KTAN, Radio Seoul and Korea Daily.
